What to Expect When Getting Permanent Makeup

I used to fill in my eyebrows every single day. I did it so many times, that I thought that I had gotten it down to the point where it didn’t take very long. Then one day I was trying to get out the door and I was just going to fill in my brows and put on some mascara before leaving the house because I didn’t have time to worry about anything else. Those few steps ended up taking way longer than they should have. That was when I finally decided to start saving to get permanent makeup done on my brows!

I’m FINALLY getting sleep!

When my 5 year old was a baby, my husband and I were diligent about the sleep program that we can chosen before she was born. She spent 11 days in the NICU and came home with her own little baby schedule that the hospital had created for her. There were definitely some hard nights but once we got her trained, she was an awesome sleeper. Flash forward to present day. My 9 month old has been a completely different experience! She has been a hard baby to train. It doesn’t help that we moved when she was almost 5 months old and have spent the last 4 months in limbo as we travel back and forth to go visit dad until we move again. I would get so discouraged when I would read articles that would claim that a 6 month old should be sleeping mostly through the night and my 6 month old was waking up every 2-3 hours! I was at my breaking point and I needed to find a better way.

If you have been a follower for a few years now, you may have remembered when I had an accident with my eyes. I had visited my family and I forgot my contact case. I used an old contact case and I got a severe eye infection. I spent many hours with the eye doctor for the following two months as we worked to get my eyes back to normal. It was an experience that really made me learn that I should ever take my eyes or my vision for granted.

Custom Willy Wonka Children’s Book

This post was sponsored by Wonderbly. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

We absolutely love Roald Dahl books! Several years ago, we bought a full set of his books and have been reading them one at a time. The very first book that we read was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Soon our obsession with all things Wonka began. That is why I was thrilled when I learned that I could get a custom Willy Wonka book for our family!

We loved reading this book! It was a total surprise to my daughter that it was a custom book. We started reading the book and then she saw her name! Then she saw her sister’s name! It was so fun to be able to turn each page to see each custom part of the story that was made just for us! [Read more…]

Powerful Oil Blends

Over the last couple of years, I have really started to focus on treating my skin with more natural products than I ever have before. I have really enjoyed finding products that aren’t necessarily the most popular things you find on the beauty shelves, but are better for my body!

I recently learned about Healing Natural Oils and decided to give a few of their products a try. I shared on my Insta stories when I was starting and I got a really great response from people who wanted to hear about my experience with these oil blends.  [Read more…]

My Favorite Overachieving Olay Product

I have tried many products over the years. There are some that I just can’t get enough of and I have shared many of those products with you. I don’t think I have been quite as impressed with a skincare product as I was when I tried the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream! It is unlike any product I have ever tried before, especially in the price range that Olay is in.

Apparently I am not the only one feeling this way about the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream! In an independent test by the Good Housekeeping Institute, they found that Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream outperforms 10 top creams, including one with a price tag of over $400! It sounds silly, but I feel like I need to start thinking a lot more about anti-aging products now that I am nearing the age of 30. I have heard so many people say that they wished they would have started their anti-aging routine earlier in life.

Healthy living for our dog, too!

I’m sharing #NUTRO in my life as part of a NUTRO sponsored series for Socialstars™

We have been very public about our health journey over the past year. We have learned so much about the foods that we put in our bodies and it really has been a pretty incredible journey so far. I started to wonder if there was also more that we could do for our dog. I don’t claim to be a pet expert, but I know the food that we were feeding her wasn’t the best food that we could have been feeding her. What was very eye opening was the fact that she would knock all of her food all over the floor.

Simple Postpartum Beauty Routine

Everyone knows that once a baby comes into your life, you don’t have much time for yourself anymore. That is definitely the case at our house. I am pretty much sprinting from one thing to the next, all while getting covered in baby spit up all day. It is hard to feel even moderately glamorous with a baby in the house. Thankfully I have found a nice little routine that has really helped me to feel great, without taking a lot of time out of my day.

I have found that if I keep my core beauty items in a bag all together, it is more likely that I will get my beauty routine done each day. I can grab my bag and get ready while I am waiting in the car at preschool pickup, at my daughter’s dance class, or even just in the playroom while my daughter wants me to watch her play. I have made it a point to try to get ready each day so that I can feel a little more human! [Read more…]
