Kanye West Graduation Makeup: Album Cover Makeup

I am the first person who will say they are NOT a Kanye West fan but the Kanye West Graduation album is one that couldn’t get ignored. Not only is this album pretty great all around, it has an album cover that is perfect for creating an album cover makeup look!

Graduation was Kanye’s 3rd album that fit his education theme. It debuted at number one, selling almost 1 million copies in the first week. It features songs like Stronger, Homecoming, and Good Life. You don’t have to be a big fan (or even like him at all) to be able to appreciate this album. I love the colors of this album cover. It made it so fun to create a whole look themed around it! Little Girl Curly Hair: Bubble Ponytail

Having curly hair was always a source of frustration for me growing up. I have been determined to make sure that my daughters know that having curly hair is actually great! Part of that is reminding my little curly haired girls how many fun things we can do with their hair. I know that this can be a major frustration for both parents and little girls with curly hair. I hope that all of my little girl curly hair ideas can help relieve some of that frustration, help you be able to take better care of those curls, and allow you and your little girl to love that curly hair!

I wanted to share how to create this bubble ponytail hairstyle on curly hair, without having tons of frizz but also still allowing for those curls to really shine. [Read more…]

Amazing Family Halloween Costumes

I grew up going to a church Halloween party that was always a highlight of the season. Everyone got into the Halloween spirit, but one family would steal the show every year with their themed costumes. I knew that when I had a family of my own, I wanted to have a family theme for as long as my kids would participate! As soon as I became a mom, those dreams became a reality. I LOVE family Halloween costumes!

Imagine Dragons Smoke and Mirrors Makeup: Album Cover Makeup

Imagine Dragons Smoke and Mirrors is a really strong album. It was the time when I really realized just how deep Imagine Dragons could get. Their songs on this album are riddled with greater meaning, while the sound isn’t compromised at all. If you haven’t ever listened to the entire album, do yourself a favor give it a listen.

Imagine Dragons Smoke and Mirrors Makeup

When I was deciding what music albums I would be tackling this year with my album cover makeup looks, I knew Smoke and Mirrors needed to be in the mix. Not only is it one of my favorite albums, but the album cover itself is pretty amazing. The cover art was created by an artist named Tim Cantor, who’s style is a little dark and pretty complex, while also keeping it relatively simple. I was really inspired by the colors and textures in the album art and knew I needed to represent it in the best way I could through my album cover makeup.

No Strings Attached was one of the very first albums that I ever bought. It helped shape my love of music at the ripe age of 11.
