Gold Geometric Triangle Decal Wall Art

Gold Geometric Triangle Wall Art

I wanted to find the perfect way to bring some pattern into the space, without adding more pictures on my wall. I knew that vinyl would be the perfect solution to my problem. I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to bring my love of geometric shapes and trendy colors together! I am now officially obsessed with my new gold geometric triangle wall art!

Here is what you need…

Gold vinyl

*Gold indoor vinyl from Expressions Vinyl

*Vinyl cutter

Cut triangles with vinyl cutter

First, I made several 3 inch triangles in the vinyl cutter software and cut them out on the gold vinyl.

Measure the wall

Then, I measured the walls I wanted to put them on and stuck the vinyl 12 inches apart.

I seriously could have just left it alone like that and not even decorated the front of it at all. I can’t get over how pretty it is.

  2. How much fun is this! It’s so stinkin’ cool! I want a wall of gold triangles too!

    • Thank you! It literally is the favorite part of my house currently! I think you need them at your house too.

    • OMG I absolutely love this idea, you are sooooooo smart. I live in an apt where I am not allowed to paint and my walls are getting full of pictures and etc…so I am on this idea likes flies………hope mine turn out as good. how cute would that be for Christmas wall deco’s too. thanks for the idea. your amazing

  3. I love this!!!! I like your style McKenzie.

  4. This is just lovely! So chic!

  5. Hi McKenzie! Wow that is gorgeous! I can’t wait to try it at my house. I have a couple questions! How many yards of vinyl did you need? And what kind of vinyl cutter did you use (bc they can get pretty pricey). Thanks!!!

    • I only used 2 sheets of the 12×24 size of vinyl. For this project, I used a Silhouette, but if you are in the market for a vinyl cutter, I suggest purchasing the Cricut Expression that just came out. It is well worth the money. I have one on its way to my house and I can’t wait to do more with it. I was able to play with one a little a few weeks ago and nothing else compares to that machine.

  6. Awesome bling, McKenzie!!!
Great way to make that corner pop without being too overbearing….

  7. Wow!! What a great difference those triangles make!! Love this idea!!

  8. WOW! These are so much fun! Love them!

  9. such a cute spot! I bought some gold dots about 6 months ago and still haven’t decided where to put them, I love the triangles!

  10. I LOVE how the gold looks! I just did this to the walls in my office using white contact paper since the walls are beige and I wanted some contrast. We’re renting and I’m too lazy to paint all the walls haha, but love how the contact paper turned out and if my walls were white I definitely would go for gold or black, especially after seeing how fantastic yours look gold!

  11. I looooove this, but quick question… I currently rent and we can’t paint. This would make a great alternative, however, if I do this to the walls, will I be able to easily and cleanly remove these when I move?

  12. This is beyond adorable! I live in an apartment as well, will this leave a residue on the walls after taking the triangles off? Do the triangles just peel off?

    • Yes they peel right off without residue if you use indoor vinyl. I just took these down because we just moved out of our house and there is no sign of them at all!
