Pumpkin Pie Bath Bomb Recipe

It is the time of year when all things are pumpkin spice. I am actually not a fan of the taste of pumpkin spice, unless it is in the form of pumpkin bread or pumpkin cookies! I do, however, love the smell of pumpkin. That’s why I knew that October’s recipe needed to be a pumpkin pie bath bomb!

Yarn and Eyeball Halloween Pumpkins

I love creating my own Halloween decor! I am not a fan of scary Halloween decor and I’m not really a fan of overly cutsey Halloween decor either. It puts me in kind of a weird spot that is hard to find stuff that I really love. Luckily, I love Halloween crafting! I whipped up these yarn and eyeball pumpkins last week and I LOVE them something fierce. They took me no time at all and I just am a little obsessed with how they turned out!

Leaf Covered Pumpkin Fall Decor

It’s Thursday! Time for another Throwback Thursday, blog post edition. Today features one of the easiest tutorials I have ever posted on my site. This leaf covered pumpkin fall decor is not only easy to create, but it is down right adorable too. I love that it can be used both as Halloween and Fall decor. I don’t have to pack it away once Halloween is over. I really want to find different varieties of leaves and pumpkins to add to my collection as well!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Burt’s Bees at Target. All opinions are 100% mine.

It is time for all things pumpkin again! It is one of my favorite parts about this time of year. Believe it or not, I am a grown adult who hasn’t ever tried actual pumpkin pie. Just because I am too scared to try pumpkin pie doesn’t mean I don’t have a serious love affair with pumpkin! I wanted to share a few of my favorite pumpkin things so that you can enjoy pumpkin goodness just as much as I do.

Family Themed Halloween Costumes by www.girllovesglam.com

Ooh! Can you even wait to see what we are dressing up as this year? Any guesses?

When I decorate for Halloween, I try to make it unique. I am not a fan of scary Halloween decorations, nor am I a fan of super cutesy decorations either. I like to give my DIY Halloween decor a little funk and a little taste of modern. That is exactly what I had in mind when I created this geometric pumpkin art! I created it for the JoAnn Fall Look Book and I am excited to share the tutorial with you today!

Healthy Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies

Healthy Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Protein Cookies on www.girllovesglam.com

Labor Day is the unofficial beginning of Autumn and I am totally embracing it! Bring on the layers! Bring on the Fall goodies!

Since I have been also trying to eat a lot healthier, I knew that I needed to find a good alternative to the regular Autumn goodies that I usually pig out on. I found a few recipes for pumpkin cookies online, but none that had chocolate chips in it that didn’t also have a bunch of weirdo, random recipes in it too. I don’t buy weird health stuff. I just can’t get myself to do it! I adapted a few different recipes to create my own version of these healthy pumpkin chocolate chip protein cookies! They are delicious! [Read more…]

Hexagon Pumpkin Art

I am so excited to be sharing this fun project with you!

Hexagon Pumpkin Art on www.girllovesglam.com #halloween #decor #tutorial

I love to decorate for Halloween, but I don’t love most traditional Halloween decor. I enjoy putting my own, modern spin on my Halloween decor. Hexagon artwork is so popular right now, so why not turn those hexagons into pumpkins for some fun, unique Halloween artwork? To make your own, you need…

Hexagon Pumpkin Art Tutorial

Hexagon Pumpkin Supplies

*Plywood

*Washi tape

*Stain and stain brush

*Wax paper

*Print out of hexagon shape

*Razor blade

First, you want to stain your plywood. I used gel stain that is a lot easier to work with. I just put one coat on my plywood and let it dry.

Washi Tape Hexagon

Next, I put the wax paper on top of the paper with the hexagon shape on it. I put the tape onto the wax paper to trace the hexagon perfectly.

Hexagon Washi Tape Art

I went back with the razor blade to cut the excess washi tape off. Then I added a few pieces of washi tape to the top to create the stems for the pumpkins. I decided to have one pumpkin be totally filled in with the washi tape, and the other two would just be outlines. If you want to do the one that is easier, the outline is much easier to work with because you don’t have so many angles to work around.

I then found the spots that I wanted my pumpkins to be on the plywood. I started peeling back the wax paper, and stuck the washi tape onto the plywood as I went. I repeated these steps until all 3 of my pumpkins were stuck to the plywood.

I added a little washi tape banner to the top corner just to add some black to it and make it feel more like Halloween. I will probably take those off after Halloween and keep the artwork up with the rest of my Fall decor. I am SO happy with how it turned out! It is the perfect addition to my Halloween decor!

Houndstooth Pumpkin Shirt

Fall is almost here! The changing colors of leaves, the crisp air, and the constant smell of pumpkin clad food is just around the corner! I love it when my daughter has shirts for each season and holiday. It makes each time of the year a little more special. This year, I wanted to make her shirt for Fall, so I combined my love of the season, geometric prints, and all things vinyl to create the cutest little pumpkin shirt you’ve ever seen!

I love it when home made items look like something that you would buy from a store. This is exactly how I feel about this shirt! It was SO easy to make too! To make your own, you need…

*Brown iron on vinyl

*Orange iron on vinyl

*Vinyl cutter

*Plain white tee shirt

houndstooth on silhouette studio

I used the Silhouette Studio software to create my design. First, I purchased a houndstooth print from the Silhouette store.

Pumpkin and houndstooth silhouette studio

Then, I found a silhouette image of a pumpkin and used the software to have it trace the image. I made it the size I needed it to be and put it on top of the houndstooth image.

Silhouette Studio Eraser tool

I used the eraser tool to erase all of the houndstooth parts that would go beyond the pumpkin image so that I wouldn’t waste vinyl and it would be easier to weed out.

I also used the eraser tool to erase the stem off of the pumpkin. I then, cut the image out on the orange vinyl.

pumpkin stem

After that, I pulled up another image of the pumpkin and erased all of it except for the stem. I added another line to the bottom of it so it would cut out completely.

Houndstooth Pumpkin

I weeded the cut vinyl out and ironed it on the shirt! I was sure to put the stem on with the body so that it would all go together.

I really love the end result and I think the lucky owner of this new shirt does too!
