I’m only a month behind, but the May album cover makeup look is finally here! I am excited to introduce you to my Good Charlotte makeup look!

Good Charlotte Makeup

When I was choosing what albums I wanted to create makeup looks for, I absolutely knew I needed to do the first Good Charlotte album. It was the first album that I heard in the pop/punk category. It really introduced me into the world of alternative music, my favorite genre of music! [Read more…]

Dry Shampoo Review: Battle of the Brands

Which dry shampoo will come on top? It is time for YOU to decide! This dry shampoo review battle of the brands has been HIGHLY anticipated and I am so excited to finally have it for all of you! I tested 10 different dry shampoos and rated them on their smell, price, residue they left behind, and how well they worked at making my hair feel clean.

Dry Shampoo Review Battle

I go about 15 days between washing my hair. I have done this for years and honestly didn’t think much of it until I had mentioned it to a few friends. They were blown away that I could go that long. My hair is just so used to it at this point, I am sure I could go much longer if I wanted to. 15 days seems to be my sweet spot for my hair though! I obviously wouldn’t be able to achieve this without dry shampoo, so I have quite a lot of experience with different dry shampoo brands I have used over the years. I wanted to bring back a lot of them that I have tried in the past and a few that I hadn’t ever tried before. I put 10 dry shampoos to the test, just for you guys!

How to Use a Curling Wand

Curling wands have become a household hair styling staple over the past few years. I have had mine for about 7 years now and I don’t know what I would do without it! One question that I am asked often is how to use a curling wand. I totally understand how a curling wand would seem pretty intimidating but they don’t need to be at all!

Music has always played a big part in how I am inspired. I can’t sing and I can’t play instruments, so I have to share that inspiration in a way that doesn’t involve music. That’s why I am so excited about my new Album Cover Makeup series! Every month, I will have a new music album that has inspired me in some way or has somehow shaped who I am. I can’t even put to words how excited I am for this series! It is my passion project for the year. I know that it isn’t something that most of you are as passionate about as I am, but I hope that you can get excited to see what albums are featured and what crazy things I come up with every month! How to Cut Your Own Split Ends

When I was in a salon full time, my clients would ask me how they could extend the wear of their haircut. I would give them shampoo, conditioner, and hair product recommendations, but the trick that they seemed to be most excited about was when I would teach them how to cut your own split ends.

Cutting your own split ends isn’t as scary as it sounds. You aren’t changing your haircut in any way and you aren’t even taking length off of your hair. You are simply cutting the split ends off of your hair, in order to keep your hair healthy and let you go a few extra weeks between haircuts. Let’s face it, most people drag the weeks between haircuts anyway, so why not have the tools you need to keep your hair healthy between them rather than getting to the cosmetologist with hair that is totally destroyed from split ends.

Makeup Brush Cleaning Techniques and Homemade Cleaner

Because of that, often times it gets put off and we are left with dirty brushes that cause uneven makeup application and breakouts on our skin. It is so important to clean your makeup brushes! I used totally dread cleaning them, but I have learned a few tricks to making the process a little faster and more enjoyable.
