Sally Hair Dare: Dry and Damaged Hair

Tracking Pixel

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sally Beauty.

I took the dare, the Sally (Hair) Dare, that is! The Sally (Hair) Dare is daring to try products from Sally Beauty, many of which are under $10, to fix your hair issues. They even have a money-back policy! My hair is naturally curly/wavy and I am constantly putting it through a lot in order to fight against my natural texture. Because I put a lot of heat on my hair and I color it often, I have a lot of damaged hair on my head.

St. Patrick’s Day Hairstyle for Little Girls

I have loved creating different hairstyles for holidays and I saw a cute idea for a clover hairstyle done by Cute Girl’s Hairstyles. The problem is that it was only a 3 leaf clover. It inspired me and I made some tweaks to create an adorable four leaf clover St. Patrick’s Day hairstyle for the little girl in your life!

My Hair Story: The Good and Bad

Being a blogger who focuses so much on beauty brings a lot of pressure with it. I get a lot of complements on my hair and makeup by all of my sweet followers out there and sometimes I hear people tear themselves down because their hair “won’t ever look that good” etc. Each time I have seen a comment like that, I just want to jump through the computer screen and shake the person who wrote it. Everything on the internet is part smoke and mirrors and part reality. Don’t ever tear yourself down because of something you see on the internet! The other thing I want to tell every person who compliments my hair is that it has NOT always been like this. It has come a long way. In fact, there was a span of about 5 years that my hair was a huge source of bullying and depression for me. I have wanted to share my hair story for a long time, but never really felt like it has been the right time to do so because I haven’t ever known how to word it exactly the way I wanted it to sound. Mostly because I don’t ever want it to seem like I am fishing for sympathy. I just want you to know where I came from, so you can have some hope for your hair too.

Favorite Hair and Makeup Product Finds

I was able to peel myself off of the hundreds of moving boxes that seem to be taking up every inch of my house. I feel like I haven’t been home all summer with my trip to NYC and all of the family events we had throughout the summer. The funny thing was that I came home from our last trip away and was excited to be back, without any plans of leaving for quite some time. Just a few days later, Dave was offered a new job and we had to make plans to be out of our house in just 2 weeks! Sound familiar? It’s basically the exact same scenerio as last year, only this time we aren’t trying to sell our house and go through a kitchen makeover.

What I am getting at, is I tried to take a step back from blogging a bit this summer because things were so hectic and was thrilled to be back at it, just when life became chaotic again! I promise that I have some really great things in store just around the corner, once we get a little more settled in! I realized that I have been finding some really great products that I have been dying to tell you all about, but I haven’t had a chance to film at all and didn’t want to wait any longer to tell you about them, so you get a good ol’ blog post because it just can’t wait any longer! I would find far too many products to tell you about if I waited.
