Baby Skincare Needs

The summer heatwave has officially hit us! It was like in the blink of an eye it went from rainy days to scorching temperatures! Hot temperatures can be really tricky with babies, especially when you have summer travel plans. We are getting ready to head to California later this month and I am thinking ahead for full days at theme parks, beach days, and hot weather. I can honestly say that creating sponsored content with a company hasn’t ever made as much as an impact as working with Baby Dove has. It has drastically changed my toddler’s skin and I am just so grateful!

Dove Baby Review

While it is important to plan our outfits, snacks, and entertainment for the trip, it’s just as important to think about our skin in a different environment. My toddler’s skin has always been really sensitive and we’ve battled issues with it for most of her life. It wasn’t until we started using products from Baby Dove and changed the type of diapers she was using that we have seen major improvements in her skin. [Read more…]

Surprising Beauty Upgrade I Made

When you think about making an upgrade to your beauty routine, your mind probably goes to skincare, makeup, or hair care. My Hair Story: The Good and Bad

Being a blogger who focuses so much on beauty brings a lot of pressure with it. I get a lot of complements on my hair and makeup by all of my sweet followers out there and sometimes I hear people tear themselves down because their hair “won’t ever look that good” etc. Each time I have seen a comment like that, I just want to jump through the computer screen and shake the person who wrote it. Everything on the internet is part smoke and mirrors and part reality. Don’t ever tear yourself down because of something you see on the internet! The other thing I want to tell every person who compliments my hair is that it has NOT always been like this. It has come a long way. In fact, there was a span of about 5 years that my hair was a huge source of bullying and depression for me. I have wanted to share my hair story for a long time, but never really felt like it has been the right time to do so because I haven’t ever known how to word it exactly the way I wanted it to sound. Mostly because I don’t ever want it to seem like I am fishing for sympathy. I just want you to know where I came from, so you can have some hope for your hair too.

How to make dry hair healthy

How to make dry hair healthy on www.girllovesglam.com

I live in a really dry climate and my hair suffers from it, big time! My ends split over and over again and my scalp gets really flaky. It is the worst! Now that the weather has once again started to cool down, my hair has started to feel as sad as it has in the past cold weather seasons. My scalp started feeling itchy and my hair was beginning to lose the shine I had worked so hard to get. All of the popular hairstyles right now have one thing in common, silky, shiny hair! That can’t be obtained when your hair is unhealthy. [Read more…]
