How to make an Oompa Loompa Shirt

To make the Oompa Loompa shirt, cut long strips of vinyl. I just set them on a mat and cut them with my rotary cutter, but you could cut them with scissors as well. Lay one strip diagonally on the shirt and make sure that it sits where you want it to sit on both the front and the back of the shirt. Carefully keep it at that same angle and iron it on on the front of the shirt. Flip the shirt around and iron it on the back. Peel of the plastic backing. If it starts to pull the vinyl up with it, iron more in that spot and peel the backing off. Repeat those steps with the other strip for the other suspender. When you iron this piece on, lay the multi use paper over the vinyl that you already ironed on. If the iron touches that exposed vinyl, it will melt and you do not want that!

Lay the skirt out and put the buttons on roughly where the straps will go. Mine are slightly off, but I was okay with that. You can either hot glue these on or hand stitch them on.

The good news is now you are done with the actual Oompa Loompa costume! The next step is making the bag.

Oompa Loompa Costume with Bag of Sugar

How to Make a Trick Or Treat Bag with Silhouette Cameo

No Oompa Loompa is complete without a bag of sugar! Thankfully, this bag was just as easy to make as the costume! Measure how large your canvas bag is and cut write the word “sugar” in the Silhouette Studio software. I used the font “Hardline Stencil” for mine. Mirror the image and cut it out onto your brown heat transfer vinyl. Iron it on and peel off the backing. So easy!

To complete the look, spray the hair with green hairspray and paint their eyebrows white! You can let them wear white gloves if you want to take the look even further.
