You know when you are walking through the grocery store and you see a mom pushing a shopping cart and she is wearing stiletto heels, her outfit looks slightly uncomfortable, and she looks like it took her hours to get ready? Or the mom who you also see in the same store who is wearing her pajamas at 3 pm? I admit I have been both of those moms at the grocery store. When I first became a mom, I had a hard time really defining my style. I wanted to dress a little more maturely than I had before, but I didn’t want to dress like a soccer mom or a frumpy mom. After a lot of trial and error, I came up with the perfect outfit equation for myself.

Finding Stylish and Practical Style

I can honestly say that I have never taken to the internet to see how to wear a specific style of clothing. I have always just kind of trusted my gut and dressed in a way that makes me feel confident, but also fits my lifestyle. I can’t help but notice the amount of pictures I see on social media of moms wearing insanely high heels who are chasing after their kids. That just doesn’t seem authentic in any way. I can’t relate to that at all. I love a good heel, but it has got to be practical too. I would call my overall style practical and stylish. I wear things that I feel good in, but I can also play on a playground in my clothes.
