Why Are Your Favorite Bloggers Mormon?

As many of you know, in November, I drove to Provo, Utah with my family to drop my brother off at the Missionary Training Center (MTC). He will be gone until November 2014 (2 years!) serving a full time LDS mission in Bogota Colombia.
Here come the tears! I miss him so much. Why would anyone want to send out their child/sibling/friend to a far away place for 2 whole years? I am so proud of my brother for going, because he is spreading the word about our church. I am a Mormon. The Mormons belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Mormon missionaries are the guys that wear suits and are always with another missionary. They are called to serve missions all over the world. They serve the people of that area by spreading the word about the gospel and by acts of service.
So, why be a Mormon? Why are some of your favorite bloggers Mormon? What do Mormons believe? Why would anyone want to be Mormon? I am excited to be joining a really incredible group of bloggers who are sharing a little insight about our religion.
We are offering a free package for all of those who are interested in finding out the answers to those questions. The package includes a copy of the Book of Mormon and a packet with personal thoughts from some of your favorite bloggers including…

If you are interested in receiving this package from me, all you have to do is email me at girllovesglam@yahoo.com with your mailing address and I will send you a package. Don’t worry, I won’t share your address with anyone, nor will I send the LDS missionaries to your house. I want to share my thoughts and feelings along with all of these other amazing women’s thoughts and feelings with you! No strings attached. Hopefully it can even answer some of your questions about our church.

I can honestly say that being a member of the LDS church is the entire foundation of my life. It is the reason I am who I am today. I know that God loves us all so much. It is really hard to begin to fathom how much he loves us. He sent his son, our Savior Jesus Christ to this earth for us and I know he loves us too. God loves each of us, no matter what current state our life is in. He loves us. He loves you.
I can’t begin to express how grateful I am for each of you. I had no idea where this little blog of mine would take me, nor do I know where it will take me in the future. What I do know, is that I am so thankful for each of you for supporting me and my blog. Thank you for letting me share this with you too. I really appreciate it.
For additional information, you can check out Mormon.org. It is a great resource for people who are interested in learning more about our church. I love the “I am a Mormon” videos because it shows how diverse the members of our church really are (we’re talking rock stars, to pro snowboarders, to students).

While I will be leaving the comments section open on this post for the time being, please understand that this is a very personal subject and I would greatly appreciate your respect and kindness in your comments.
Thank you!

This offer never expires!

Cool. Blogging has blown up the spreading of the gospel…I keep a private blog, but I like to watch blogs like yours, and there are SO many. Just when I think I’ve found the 100th Mormon-mommy blog and that’s the end, I find another! In fact, this is my first visit to your site. I just am impressed and inspired, as an onlooker, to see so many fellow members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints use their blogs’ popularity to non-threateningly dispose of some myths by doing a little explaining. I’m our stake director of public affairs here in Minnesota, so this is something I’m naturally tuned into, the non-threatening explanation of why we believe what we believe. It’s just fantastic to see faith in action; I hear over and over in my head Elder Ballard’s address from conference several years ago when he encouraged all of us to do exactly this. Great job. And congratulations and good luck to your brother!
