What I Wore: Cobalt heels and Chevron Print

Let’s be honest. There was nothing “thrown together” about this look. I have been planning out this outfit for a while now.
modest church outfit

Ok now let’s rewind to Friday night. I got done working at the salon and came home to a bathroom that looked entirely different. You see, Dave found a beautifully vintage black and white checkerboard floor underneath our ugly vinyl floor when he was fixing our toilet. He knew that I would love that black and white floor, so he ripped up all of the nasty vinyl flooring before I came home. The only problem, the floor was BEYOND sticky. We used paint thinner and were able to get all of the glue off, but in return, we got a very stinky house. We had to sleep at my parents’ house for 2 nights.
Now it is time to flash forward to Sunday. You know when you sleep somewhere else and you just don’t feel like you are on your A game? Well, it was one of those days. Then, I convinced my photographer husband to come take a few pictures, on his birthday, during a championship football game. I didn’t want to take up too much of his valuable time, so my pictures look like this. Fact, you can barely see my eyes when I smile. Fact, you definitely can’t see my eyes when the sun is shining into them. Fact, I have no eyes in these pictures.

Oh ya, one more thing. As soon as I got my photographer husband to come out and take pictures, my camera died. Thank goodness for phone pictures (I think).
Shirt: Charlotte Russe, Skirt: Forever 21, Tights: c/o NoNonsense, Wedges: Payless, Necklace: Charming Charlie, Bracelet: Apple of My Eye Jewelry
Well, at least I felt sassy at church. I got a lot of compliments on my outfit and it is always fun to get a little dressed up.

you look great from waist up and nice shoes ...but oh the Tights ..I have to say ,I have never liked Thick Black nylon Tights ..now don't get me wrong , I wear tights myself but sheer natural tan colour or at the very most 15 denier in black ..so I say 1st "Burn your Tights" ..now the skirt ...stretchy Lycra !!! should never see the light of day ,so while youre at burn this too.

Dear Elaine, While I do appreciate you stopping by my blog, I try to fill it with positive things. Your comment is not only rude but pretty uncalled for. Please refrain from commenting on this blog or any blog this way again. It hurts feelings and is completely useless. I hope you realize that I value my readers and my reader's opinions, but I won't be taking any of your "advice". Thankfully, there are nice people in the world who strive to make others feel good about themselves and strive to uplift others. My advice to you would be to look up to those who uplift others and strive to be more like them.

Love the whole thing. The shoes and opaque tights are dead on. I think the pics still turned out great!
