MY Word of the Year

I have made a few resolutions in my life, but really not many of them. I don’t like to make goals unless I actually plan on working for it. This year I decided to jump on the “word of the year” bandwagon, only, it took me forever to decide what my word was going to be.
My word this year is going to be FOCUS.
I have a really hard time focusing. On a lot of aspects of my life. Like for instance, while writing at this very moment, I keep getting distracted by the TV shows I am watching on my laptop. Focusing isn’t my strong point. I want 2013 to be a time that I can really try to focus. Focus on one thing at a time. Live in the moment. Focus on my family. Focus on my relationship with my husband. Focus on my relationship with my Heavenly Father. Focus on this little blog. Focus on becoming a better person inside and out.
I love this word because now it isn’t something that I can totally fail on, but it is definitely something that I need to work on. Do you have a word of the year? Do you make resolutions?

I need to choose a word for myself, but I'm so dang indecisive :) We did choose a family word this year... TOGETHER. Kind of predictable for a family, huh? But the kids helped us and they are excited about it :) LOVE YA!! I love that quote by the way!

Not a fan of resolutions either but have picked a word for a few years now. My word for 2013 is Create. Create memories. Create a home of love and joy. Create an atmosphere that promotes growth and learning, etc

Love your word and the quote.
