We love to come up with different ways to create at our house. My 5 year old is constantly crafting in some way or another. As much as she loves to draw, color, and make crafts out of paper, she can get tired of those things and looks for other ways to be creative. That is why I love the idea of having a few little boxes ready with different activities that she can do, but they are considered to be a little more special and are things that she doesn’t play with every single day. I love sensory activities and this clay ice cream sensory activity has been a big hit at our house!

To make this clay ice cream sensory activity kit, I used…

Toy ice cream scoops

Play ice cream cones

Clay

Plastic sprinkles

I used to totally dread when my daughter wanted to play with clay. I would find it absolutely everywhere and I just felt like my table, chairs, and floor were covered in germs from the clay. I have since discovered Huggies® Cleansing® Wipes that are perfect for cleaning up after playing with clay. It has made for a much better clean up and it makes me feel like a nicer mom who lets her kids play with clay!

You can click the photo above to shop for the Huggies® Cleansing® Wipes that I love! They are fragrance free, alcohol free, and paraben free. They are perfect to use on little hands and faces because they are enriched with aloe and Vitamin E. We love them!

This little sensory station makes for hours of entertainment for my little girl. She absolutely loves taking ice cream orders from everyone in the house and making them their order out of clay. It is a perfect way for her to stay entertained while using her creativity.

I don’t have to feel like I am hindering on her creativity because I don’t want her playing with messy toys anymore. I love keeping these Huggies Cleansing Wipes in the bin with our clay ice cream tools. We buy these from Sam’s Club.

I love getting them there because I am able to get a box of them that will last us quite a while. I can even order these to pick up at the store or have them shipped. They even have free shipping on these wipes right now!

This is such a great idea! My kids would love an activity like this. And I hear you on not loving when they play with clay, I dread it because I always end up finding it in my carpet! I've got to try this method, though! #client
