Finding Stylish and Practical Style

This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for supporting them and helping keep Girl Loves Glam a reality.

I can honestly say that I have never taken to the internet to see how to wear a specific style of clothing. I have always just kind of trusted my gut and dressed in a way that makes me feel confident, but also fits my lifestyle. I can’t help but notice the amount of pictures I see on social media of moms wearing insanely high heels who are chasing after their kids. That just doesn’t seem authentic in any way. I can’t relate to that at all. I love a good heel, but it has got to be practical too. I would call my overall style practical and stylish. I wear things that I feel good in, but I can also play on a playground in my clothes.

How to Use Nail Stamps

I always have the hardest time coming up with things for my husband to get me for Christmas, but this year I had a great idea. I wanted a nail stamp kit! I have learned some great tips on how to use nail stamps.

Disneyland Packing Tips

I was given the EzPacking products to try out, but was not compensated in any other way for this post.

We took the big plunge in November and went on our first big vacation as a family. We have gone on little trips, but nothing too big that has just been the three of us. We decided to take our first trip to Disneyland together. The last time I went to Disneyland, I was in 4th grade. It has changed just a little bit since I was there last. You know, like that ENTIRE new park there?! That’s right! California Adventure wasn’t even there the last time I went to Disneyland. Dave and Harper had never been to Disneyland either, so we went big and not only went during their 60th Anniversary celebration, but we went during the holidays too! You can start calling us crazy right about… NOW! Honestly I thought it was going to be kind of a nightmare, but it ended up being a really special trip for our family. I am far from a Disneyland expert now, but I did learn some really valuable things about Disneyland travel. One area that I would consider myself kind of an expert in would have to be organization. This especially came in handy with packing for Disneyland. Here are a few tips that I highly recommend if you are going to be visiting the happiest place on earth any time soon!

Hiring Assistants. Virtual Assistant FAQ’s Video

Hiring assistants can literally save your sanity! I have four virtual assistants. Yes, I said FOUR! My blog keeps me busy enough for them and it isn’t even a huge blog. Even if you aren’t a blogger, hiring help is a good idea for anybody! I did a Periscope video all about my virtual assistants, what they do for me, how much I pay them, how I manage everything with my assistants! I shared ALL of it! It was a really popular scope, so I decided to bring it back onto YouTube so it can be watched anytime.

The main point I bring across in the video is how important it is to do what you do best and hire out what you don’t. I say it “Do your best, hire the rest”. I think this is something you kind of have to remind yourself of too. That’s why I had my gorgeous assistant make this awesome printable that you can put somewhere that you see often. It will be a great reminder to you that sometimes it is best to take a step back and get some help!

Getting The Tonight Show Tickets and My Experience Attending the Show!

On July 15, 2015 I experienced something that I thought was on my bucket list… Go to The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. I say that I thought it was on my bucket list, because typically when someone says that something is on their bucket list it means they only plan on doing it once in their lives and there is NO way I am only doing that once! Attending The Tonight Show was one of the coolest things I have ever done! I have had so many people ask me about how to get The Tonight Show tickets, what the experience is like, what attending the monologue rehearsal was like, what Jimmy Fallon himself is like, so I decided to put it all in one place for all of you!

If you are new around these parts, you may not be aware that I LOVE Jimmy Fallon. I am a married woman and I don’t mean it like I would leave my husband for him type of love. I love his show, his sense of humor, and I have been a fan of his since is days on SNL. He isn’t bad on the eyes either… I’m not going to lie! I just don’t want anyone thinking I am some weirdo because I am sure there are plenty of those people out there! It has been really fun to watch his career skyrocket over the years. He is totally a household name now and I think that is really incredible!

So, jumping right in to the main question [Read more…]

Packing for a Conference Tips

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Faultless/Bon Ami Company   . All opinions are 100% mine.

I have a big trip coming up this month! I am going to NYC to go to a blog conference! I love going to blog conferences, but I am extra excited this time because it is in New York City with my best friend! Could it get any better than that? I don’t think so!

I know there are a lot of different kinds of conferences out there, but I think a lot of the rules to packing for a conference are basically the same no matter what type of conference you are going to. I have gone to enough conferences now, that I have my packing down to a bit of a science. I have friends who haven’t ever been to conferences and they ask me what types of things they should bring with them. A lot of people who haven’t ever been to a conference are probably thinking the same thing, so here are my tips for packing to go to a conference!

Conference Packing Checklist

I pack different things depending on what conference I am attending, but there are a few things that I make sure to ALWAYS pack! First is [Read more…]

How we are paying for our Disneyland vacation!

This post contains affiliate links.

Guys! I am SO excited! We officially are going to Disneyland this Fall! I know that a lot of people go on Disney vacations, but this is a really big deal for my little family. It will be the first time that Dave and Harper will have been. I haven’t been to Disneyland since they had California Adventure, so it has been a while for me too. At the age that my daughter is at right now, she is obsessed with all things Disney and I just couldn’t wait any longer to go. We have been wanting to go for a while, but just couldn’t find the way to save up to go. Even since we moved and Dave has a higher paying job, saving up to go seemed like quite the task. Any time we have extra money saved up, it is just SO dang tempting to spend that money! We are no good at saving up for things. But, we have finally found a way to save up for Disneyland that will actually work for us! Here is how we are paying for our Disneyland vacation!

Easy Tips to Bring Color into a Room Without Using Paint

Ever since we moved last year, I have been given totally new decorating challenges. Not only are the spaces in my home much different than they were in my old house, but we are renting this time around and that brings totally new challenges! When we walked through our rental options, I was immediately drawn to the townhouse we chose because it had white walls. A clean slate! With that comes different challenges though. I love color! I like to create happy, colorful rooms and painting walls is no longer an option!
