Little Girl Curly Hair: Bubble Ponytail

Having curly hair was always a source of frustration for me growing up. I have been determined to make sure that my daughters know that having curly hair is actually great! Part of that is reminding my little curly haired girls how many fun things we can do with their hair. I know that this can be a major frustration for both parents and little girls with curly hair. I hope that all of my little girl curly hair ideas can help relieve some of that frustration, help you be able to take better care of those curls, and allow you and your little girl to love that curly hair!

This bubble ponytail hairstyle is a popular look that has been created on adults and little girls, but I haven’t seen it done on curly hair. Summer Boredom Idea Box

We all know the dreaded words, “I’m bored” that seem to happen all summer! It is important to be prepared with some summer boredom busters. Last year, I prepared ahead of time and created what we are calling, the Summer Boredom Box. It was a summer boredom idea box that was used as a reward system for when chores get done. It worked really well and I wanted to do it again, but we did make a few adjustments for this year. I wanted to include a lot more free activities and things that my kids could do without my help.

Summer Boredom Busters

I will include everything that we put in the summer boredom box from last year and this year, as well as tons of great summer activity ideas that you can use that aren’t in our boxes.

Summer Boredom Buster Box

I wanted it to be used as a reward system, so that we were sure to get chores done before anything else. I also wanted it to be kept in a box that only one thing is taken out each day, so that everything is looked at as a novelty. Some days, we will be going out and doing fun activities after chores are done, so the box won’t be necessary on those days. A summer boredom box doesn’t need to be a crazy financial investment. I did spend a little more this year than I did last year on a few of the items because I knew they were going to be items that we were going to buy this summer anyway. Because there were a few more expensive items, I wanted to include more free items as well. [Read more…]

Kids Art Display Station

We have a little artist at our house. She is constantly creating pictures, books, crafts, etc. Kids all over the world are just like her! The dilemma is that children’s art is so cute, but where do you display kids art in your home? We have had different versions of kids art displays in our homes we lived in in the past but none of them seemed to be big enough for the amount of art that this little girl keeps pumping out! That’s why I took matters a little further and made this giant kids art display station that is in her bedroom! Not only is it the perfect place for her to display all of her most treasured creations, but it is a place for her to be inspired to create even more artwork!

Dinosaur Party Ideas for Girls

We have a toddler who LOVES dinosaurs! She loves to “rawr” like a dinosaur, watch dinosaur shows, and wear dinosaur clothes. I knew that we needed to have a dinosaur birthday party for her when she turned two, but we wanted to make it a bright, fun party that wasn’t a “scary dinosaur” party at all. These dinosaur party ideas would be great for girls, but would totally work for boys too!
