Christmas Matching Game Printable

Christmas classroom parties and Christmas break are right around the corner! There is going to be a lot of time to keep your kids entertained, before they have their Christmas goodies. When I was little, my mom made a matching game out of Halloween monsters and I loved it! We played it in my classroom as a traditional memory game, but when I was home I would play it and mix and match the parts of the monsters to make silly characters. I really wanted to make a version of this game for Christmas! So I created this Christmas memory matching game that can also be used as a Christmas character mix and match activity too!

Sensory Toddler Christmas Ornament Craft

Crafting during the holidays is one of my favorite things to do to celebrate the Christmas season. I have really grown to love crafting with my 6 year old daughter, but I really wanted to find some ways that my toddler could be involved in the Christmas creating! I decided to let her make her own sensory toddler Christmas ornaments.

Gift Idea for Creative Kids

I am affiliate with Loog Guitars. I receive commission from sales associated with the links below.

Sometimes it can be difficult to shop for creative kids. If you have a kid who loves to create things, you know what I am talking about. Traditional toys aren’t always the best option!

Loog Guitar Review

I am so excited to give my daughter a Loog guitar this Christmas! It is a guitar with three strings, so it is easier for beginners to play. They are made in smaller sizes for little hands, but they sound like a guitar, not a ukulele. They come with flashcards to help teach musical notes and there is an app that can teach how to play actual songs! [Read more…]

We are huge advocates of educational apps and games. We have used them for years! Sometimes screen time can be a delicate balance, but if there is plenty of educational screen time happening, I don’t mind more screen time. We have tried lots of different learning apps and websites, but I wanted to feature our top 3 favorites.

Back to School Clothes: Choosing Quality Pieces

This post is brought to you by Abercrombie Kids. While this was a sponsored opportunity, all content and opinions expressed here are my own.

If I have learned one important lesson about children’s clothes, it’s that choosing quality pieces is so important! Kids can be really hard on their clothes and if the clothes aren’t made to last, they aren’t going to last. If I am going to be spending my hard earned money on back to school clothes, I want them to make it through the school year. This has become even more important to me since having a second daughter. I know that any clothes that last through the first one can be passed down to the second one. As my younger daughter has grown into more clothes of her sister’s, you can definitely tell what items were made to stand the test of time and which ones were a total waste of money. That is why we did our back to school shopping at Abercrombie Kids this year. The jeans at Abercrombie Kids are super high quality and I know they’ll make it through the years.

Summer Boredom Idea Box

We were given the Nintendo and Lego items for this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

It is officially the second day of summer break here and I didn’t want to hear the dreaded words, “I’m bored” all summer! I prepared ahead of time and created what we are calling, the Summer Boredom Box this year. It is a summer boredom idea box that is used as a reward system for when chores get done.

Summer Boredom Box Idea on www.girllovesglam.com

I wanted it to be used as a reward system, so that we were sure to get chores done before anything else. I also wanted it to be kept in a box that only one thing is taken out each day, so that everything is looked at as a novelty. Some days, we will be going out and doing fun activities after chores are done, so the box won’t be necessary on those days. But I will tell you, being on day 2 of summer break, I am already grateful that we have this box of goodies! [Read more…]

Where to Buy Stylish Disney Clothes

Before I became a mom, I swore I would NEVER buy my child character clothes or shoes. It seemed to me that every item of clothing I would see with a character on it was so dang cheesy! Then I got a little girl who became obsessed with characters. We started the character clothes with just her socks. I let her have character socks and she loved it! But soon she was wanting more. So I started opening my mind up to the thoughts of putting character clothes on my child. Once I became open to it, I started finding hidden gems! Character clothes that didn’t have cheesy phrases on them or screamed “Look at me! I love this character!” and both mom and child could be happy!
