Glam Fall Makeup Look

This shop has been compensated by ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses and Collective Bias, Inc. All opinions are mine alone. #TreatYourEyes2 #TreatYourEyes #CollectiveBias

I love making my makeup a little more moody as the seasons change. After a summer full of light and airy makeup, I am ready to bring on the rich colors of Fall. This glam Fall makeup look can easily be worn as an everyday look if it is paired with a little less dramatic lip color and looks fantastic for a night out with an even more dramatic lip color! I love how regal it feels, without being over the top and difficult to recreate.

When I do my makeup like this and really try to focus on my eye makeup, it is important that I wear contacts. I have experienced doing my makeup in the past, only to have to wear my glasses and it just kind of takes away the effect! I find my ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses just as important in my beauty routine as my actual beauty products. I have absolutely loved these ACUVUE®  VITA® Brand Contact lenses that were so highly recommended to me during my Target Optical® visit.

To create this eye makeup look, I used one eyeshadow palette with many neutral options. I love having a palette like this because I can find every color I need in one place. I also used a liquid eyeliner pen and volumizing mascara. [Read more…]

Root Cover Up Hack

This post is sponsored by Everpro Gray Away. All of the thoughts and opinions are my own.

When I was doing hair full time, one question that seemed to be asked a lot was how to extend the life of their hair color. There were a few tips that I would give my clients, but there was no real way to cover up the roots that well. That has all changed! I recently tried Gray Away and I was so impressed with my results! I had no idea there was such an easy root cover up solution!

Vanilla Mint Sugar Scrub

I absolutely love how my skin feels when I am exfoliating regularly. It leaves skin feeling baby soft! I used to buy different scrubs to use in the shower, but they can be quite expensive. The good  news is that making your own scrub costs very little and takes less than 15 minutes. It is a major win! I love making different varieties to try, but I also love making them to give as gifts! This vanilla mint sugar scrub is one of my favorite scrubs to make. The scent is really soothing and delicious!

What to Expect When Getting Permanent Makeup

I used to fill in my eyebrows every single day. I did it so many times, that I thought that I had gotten it down to the point where it didn’t take very long. Then one day I was trying to get out the door and I was just going to fill in my brows and put on some mascara before leaving the house because I didn’t have time to worry about anything else. Those few steps ended up taking way longer than they should have. That was when I finally decided to start saving to get permanent makeup done on my brows!

Pumpkin Pie Bath Bomb Recipe

It is the time of year when all things are pumpkin spice. I am actually not a fan of the taste of pumpkin spice, unless it is in the form of pumpkin bread or pumpkin cookies! I do, however, love the smell of pumpkin. That’s why I knew that October’s recipe needed to be a pumpkin pie bath bomb!

28 Day Challenge Results

This post is sponsored by Olay. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. #Olay28Day #ad

About a month ago, I took the Olay 28 Day Challenge. The challenge was to use their products for 28 days and see if I could notice any difference in my skin over that time, by incorporating a few new products and creating that healthy habit each day. My skin goes through phases of being pretty bad, but when I first started the challenge my skin wasn’t horrible. I didn’t have a lot of problems with breaking out, but my skin did feel very dry and it just looked tired!
