Baby Skincare Needs

The summer heatwave has officially hit us! It was like in the blink of an eye it went from rainy days to scorching temperatures! Hot temperatures can be really tricky with babies, especially when you have summer travel plans. We are getting ready to head to California later this month and I am thinking ahead for full days at theme parks, beach days, and hot weather. I can honestly say that creating sponsored content with a company hasn’t ever made as much as an impact as working with Baby Dove has. It has drastically changed my toddler’s skin and I am just so grateful!

Dove Baby Review

While it is important to plan our outfits, snacks, and entertainment for the trip, it’s just as important to think about our skin in a different environment. My toddler’s skin has always been really sensitive and we’ve battled issues with it for most of her life. It wasn’t until we started using products from Baby Dove and changed the type of diapers she was using that we have seen major improvements in her skin. [Read more…]

Pure Joy From Pampers Pure

When I became a mother for the first time, I was overwhelmed by the selection of diapers and wipes that were available. I had no idea what or how to choose. I had assumed that the biggest difference would be the performance of the diapers and wipes, but I was wrong! What I hadn’t realized is just how different the actual materials of diapers and wipes were. My oldest daughter seemed to be fine with each type of diapers and wipes that we used with her, but things have been totally different with my baby. She has very sensitive skin and I have had to be much more cautious about the types of products that I use with her.

Springtime Baby Skincare

There isn’t a lot of focus on baby skincare, unless there is an obvious problem with their skin. I learned this the hard way when my baby’s skin was showing signs of being quite sensitive. She would get bumps on her skin from lotions, wipes, and body wash. It was so sad! Most of these things could have been easily ignored, which is why it is so important to pay attention to your baby’s skin. They aren’t able to tell us if something is wrong with their skin, so it is important to really pay attention to how their skin is reacting to any new product you are using. That is why I was thrilled to partner with Baby Dove on this sponsored post. We have been using their products and they are working wonders on my baby’s sensitive skin.
The changing of seasons can also bring a lot of change to a baby’s skin. The more time spent outside will bring a lot of new experiences for a baby, and that can bring new challenges for their skin as well. It is something that we, as parents, need to be aware of.

These Shoes Were Made for Walking, Literally!

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Surprize by Stride Rite. All opinions are 100% mine.

Zoey has been able to walk for about a month now, but it wasn’t until the last week that she has decided to walk everywhere! Now her busy little feet don’t stop moving! With the second child, she is constantly wearing hand-me-downs from her older sister, but the shoes that her older sister wore at this stage of her life were totally trashed! New walkers want to do nothing but walk and they are actually pretty hard on their little shoes, especially if they aren’t very well made. Thankfully, I have learned over the years what brands of shoes I can count on.

With as much walking as she does and the amount of different terrain that she seems to venture in, I thought it was important to get her some quality shoes. [Read more…]

Don’t Overpay for Formula

This post is sponsored by Comforts™ Brand.

When I had my first born, she was premature and required specialty formula that gave us no other option than one brand. With my baby now, the formula possibilities seem endless! It is like a whole new world has been opened to us. I have done a lot of research of different brands, sizes, and prices and I have been really impressed with the Comforts™ Infant Formulas.

Rethink Your Diaper and Wipe Choices!

This post is sponsored by Comforts Brand

When I first became a mom, I had no idea how many diaper and wipe options I would be faced with. It became a little overwhelming sometimes! What really confused me is when one brand would seem to work really well and the next month, it would be failing miserably. I never could find a diaper and wipe brand that I loved. It made me really frustrated because I was only using the name brands that I had grown up seeing commercials for. I thought that those had to be the best options out there. Boy, was I wrong!

Baby Safety Resources

Recently, the Baby Safety Network launched. It is an incredible site about baby safety! It helps bring awareness, information, and discussion, in order to give parents the ability to make informed decisions about their baby. I love that this site exists!

Baby Safety Network

Baby Safety Network is a DOM Family initiative. I am already a huge fan of DOM Family cribs, mattresses, and strollers and I appreciate that they have used their resources to create this very important site. You can find information about sleep, play, or just about any topic that you are looking for some answers on.  [Read more…]

I’m FINALLY getting sleep!

When my 5 year old was a baby, my husband and I were diligent about the sleep program that we can chosen before she was born. She spent 11 days in the NICU and came home with her own little baby schedule that the hospital had created for her. There were definitely some hard nights but once we got her trained, she was an awesome sleeper. Flash forward to present day. My 9 month old has been a completely different experience! She has been a hard baby to train. It doesn’t help that we moved when she was almost 5 months old and have spent the last 4 months in limbo as we travel back and forth to go visit dad until we move again. I would get so discouraged when I would read articles that would claim that a 6 month old should be sleeping mostly through the night and my 6 month old was waking up every 2-3 hours! I was at my breaking point and I needed to find a better way.

Natural Bedtime Baby Bath Soap

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser Gerber® Pure®. All opinions are mine alone. #GerberPureWater #CollectiveBias

I have been a longtime user of traditional baby products, but one day I turned the bottle over and noticed just how many ingredients were in the bedtime baby soap I was using. I wasn’t comfortable using that many ingredients on my baby. I used a variety of different natural products, but discovered that making your own is really easy and way more affordable! For feeding purposes, I use Gerber® Pure® Water to mix infant formula and cereal, because it’s water specifically purified for babies. Gerber® Pure® Water can be found at Walmart, in the water section. Inspired by Gerber® Pure® Water® and its simple and pure qualities, I wanted to also have a simple and pure soap option made specifically for babies so I decided to make my own!

No Sew Baby Little Red Riding Hood Costume

Dressing a baby up for their first Halloween is something I truly look forward to. I was excited to come up with my own version of a baby Little Red Riding Hood costume and I am pretty much obsessed with how it turned out!

No Sew Little Red Riding Hood Costume for Baby on www.girllovesglam.com

As if the costume wasn’t cute enough, probably the greatest part about making this costume is that it doesn’t require a sewing machine! Literally the only “sewing” was putting a little stitch through the giant button. Originally, I was going to just glue it on but I didn’t want it to come off when my baby pulled on it so I decided to stitch it on. If that is all of the sewing that It takes to make my baby a costume, I will take it!

To make your own, you need… [Read more…]
