I love holiday parties of any kind, but I think the reason why I love them so much is that it gives me an excuse to dress up a little bit. I don’t go to any fancy parties, but I like spending a little extra time on my look when I am going to a party because it makes me feel festive and excited for the party! I created two simple hairstyles that would be great for any festive party you plan to attend, or really just any day you want to try a fun hairstyle!

Both of these looks are really easy to create! I love that one has a more voluminous, messy look and the other one is quite straight and sleek so that you can choose the one that best fits your personal style.

I loved using the Infiniti PRO by Conair® Diamond Brilliance™ Diamond-Infused Ceramic Smoothing Hot Brush and the Infiniti PRO by Conair® 2-inch & 1 ½-inch Spin Air Brush to create these looks.

The first hairstyle I created was the messy loop braid style.

My hair is extremely thick and has a lot of curl to it, so I let my hair dry about 80% on its own so that I wouldn’t have to use too much heat on it. If your hair isn’t the same texture as mine, you would be totally fine with using the heat because you wouldn’t have to use as much heat.

To dry the rest of my hair, I used the Infiniti PRO by Conair® 2-inch & 1 ½-inch Spin Air Brush. I love that it allows me to dry and style my hair at the same time! It can rotate in both directions to build volume and add shine while your hair is drying at the same time. I took my hair is small sections and placed the brush in my hair and began to brush it down. As I reached the ends of my hair, I pressed the button to have the brush begin to spin the direction I needed it to go. It is important to keep tension and try to pull downward a little to make the hair nice and smooth.

I went section by section, using the Infiniti PRO by Conair® 2-inch & 1 ½-inch Spin Air Brush to dry and style my hair until all of my hair was done. I was really impressed with just how much volume was created with that tool!

Next, I took the front section of my hair and braided it. Then I bobby pinned it where I wanted the braid to be pulled back.

Then pull pretty aggressively at the braid that was pinned back. I wanted it to look more like loops were created and less like a braid. If you have pancaked a braid before, this will come pretty naturally to you, but you will want to pull even more than you would with a traditional pancaked braid. You want this to look a little messy.

I then pulled all of my hair into a side ponytail and poked my fingers through, right above the ponytail. I stuck the ponytail through that hole to create a fun twist.

Next, I pulled on the twist part a little just to make it less polished to go along with my messy loop braid.

I love how this look turned out and I know that I will be using it for many occasions in the future.

The second festive look I created is much more sleek and polished. I love having different hairstyling options, depending on my mood.

My hair had been worn in that first messy braid hairstyle almost all day before I created this second hairstyle, so there was a lot of volume and a little curl happening that I needed to smooth out.

To give it the sleek look I wanted, I used the Infiniti PRO by Conair Diamond Brilliance Diamond-Infused Ceramic Smoothing Hot Brush. It really amazes me that it can get my hair as smooth as it does! I used the high temperature setting that reaches up to 400 degrees, but there is also a low and a medium setting for people with other textures of hair. The diamond-infused ceramic technology adds healthy looking shine while it helps protect the hair from heat damage. I put my hair in small sections and glided the tool from root to end. I like to pull the end of my hair to create tension, so my hair can get as smooth as possible.

Once all of my hair had been smoothed, I put serum in my hair so that it would be even more smooth and shiny.

I pulled the front two sections of my hair forward and put the rest of my hair into a low ponytail.

Take one of the front sections of the hair and pull it across the ponytail. Bobby pin it to the underside of the ponytail.

Take the other front piece and pull it across the other piece and pin it under the ponytail as well. You may have to use a few pins to secure it where you want it so the hair isn’t trying to stick out in a different direction.

Finished it all off with some hairspray to keep everything in place and instantly fell in love with how incredibly chic this ponytail looked.

I have a feeling I will be using this hairstyle a lot in the future. It was fast and looks like there is a lot more effort put into it than just an everyday ponytail.
