What are Color Street Nails?

What is Color Street? You may have thought that very thought over the last 7 weeks since the company launched. I was lucky enough to have that question answered before the company launched, when I decided to join the company as a founding stylist! Color Street nails are 100% nail polish strips that are incredibly easy to apply and last for roughly 2 weeks. I am officially hooked!

Color Street Nails Charleston Blush and Tokyo Lights

I haven’t ever felt like I have had consistently nice looking fingernails until I learned about Color Street. It was always too time consuming or too expensive to do my nails before. Now I am able to bust out a full manicure in about 5 minutes and I don’t have any dry time! Watch this video to see just how easy and fast applying Color Street nails is! [Read more…]

Easy Fall Confetti Nail Art

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sally Beauty. All opinions are 100% mine.

I love all of the beautiful red violet that is showing up this season. You can see it in clothing, makeup, and even in hair color this time of year. I love embracing these seasonal colors, but instead of investing so much into purchasing a whole new red violet wardrobe or dying my hair right now,  I decided to go with a fun Fall manicure! I find doing my nails to be pretty therapeutic and love how just having my nails done can make my confidence boost a little.

Favorite Things: May 2015

As you know, my favorite things posts each month come with a video. Things are different this month. I have ZERO voice! I still really wanted to share my favorite things with you though because I had to cut down my favorite things list because there were so many things that I just fell in love with this month.

May 2015 Favorite Things on www.girllovesglam.com

1. Get Away Today (The Disney Shirt)- If you didn’t see it from THIS post, we are going to Disneyland this Fall and Get Away Today totally hooked us up with killer deals on tickets and a layaway payment plan for them! They are hooking up Girl Loves Glam readers with $10 off your Southern California trip when you use the code GLG15 I am so excited for this trip and I just had to own this shirt to wear when we go to Disneyland. If you need to own one of these too, I found it HERE for super cheap!

2. Organic Simple Bites- These are found at Costco and they are pretty much a match made in heaven for Greek yogurt. They are perfect for breakfast!

3. Heated Eyelash Curler– I was introduced to this by a friend at Snap Conference and I instantly fell in love… well, as soon as I went and bought one and got home and put batteries in it. Note to self, if you are buying it and want to use it instantly, buy batteries too! This little tool can curl eyelashes like none other!

4. Beauty Blender Sponge Stick- I found this one at Forever 21. It was super cheap, but it has already fallen apart and been glued once. I will be purchasing a new one eventually. I LOVE having the sponge on the stick! I found some other decently priced ones HERE too.

5. KISS Nail kits– I recently discovered these and I just love them! I love that they can be purchased at regular stores like Walmart and Walgreens and I love that they are making nail art more accessible to create for anyone. I just had to get a few of them! I especially love the tool kit. It seriously has everything you would need to start doing nail art!

These are the favorite things I can’t live without this month. I have a few honorable mention items that I will probably save for next month, but I want to know… What are YOUR favorite things this month?

Sharpie Block Striped Nail Art

Sharpie nail art that is bold and easy.

Sharpie Nail Art Tutorial on www.girllovesglam.com

This is definitely the easiest nail art tutorial I have ever posted. I was inspired by the awesome striped nail art manicure Amy sported in Karmin’s music video for their song, Sugar. If you haven’t seen this music video yet, you should watch it while you do this tutorial because it will probably take the same amount of time to watch it as it will for you to do these killer nails.

Spring Ruffian Nail Art Tutorial

I don’t know if it is the sunshine, nature’s colors starting to bloom, or pulling out clothes that I haven’t been able to wear for a few months, but Spring has really made me excited to get dressed up again! I started getting in a bit of a slump towards the end of winter. One way that I love to add just a little more color in my life is through nail art. I have been obsessed with ruffian nail art ever since I saw it featured on the runways of fashion week last year.

If you aren’t sure what ruffian nail art is, it is basically just a solid colored nail, but it has a little surprise right along the cuticles! There is a little line of color that goes along the cuticles and it just adds such a fun surprise to a boring manicure. I have seen it done in a lot of bold, contrasting colors, but I wanted to tone it down for a beautiful spring feel.

I have loved the muted nail trend happening right now, so for this manicure I chose to use a light pink polish with a metallic gold and then covered it with a matte finish top coat. It is soft and beautiful! [Read more…]
