Monster Bath Bomb for Kids

Kids love bath bombs just as much as adults do! There just aren’t that many “fun” DIY bath bomb options out there for kids. So to get in the Halloween spirit, I made these darling monster bath bombs! They would be really fun to give out at a Halloween party, but they are also something that you could make any time of the year.

Simple Printable Service Project for Kids

We have loved Mickey and the Roaster Racers literally since the very first episode aired. That is why I am so excited to have Disney Junior sponsoring this post! My daughter loves that all of her favorite Mickey Mouse characters are on a new show and loves each of their cars. She has actually learned quite a bit about geography as the Roadster Racers travel the world for their races on each episode. I really like the Happy Helpers segments with Minnie and Daisy. They show Minnie and Daisy as they help different people in various situations as they learn new skills along the way. It inspired me to create a little Happy Helpers service project race for kids to participate in!

I love the idea of teaching children to perform acts of service, without any rewards attached to them. If they are treating it like a race based off of one of their favorite shows, it makes it even more enjoyable! I wanted to make each service activity something that could be done by a variety of ages and made it a printable list so you can easily print it and get serving! [Read more…]

Elena of Avalor Glitter Slime Recipe

We are big Disney Junior fans at our house. I think I enjoy watching the shows on there as much as my 5 year old does! That is why we are so honored to have Disney Junior sponsoring this post. We have our favorite shows set to record on our TV so that we can watch them together. Our TV has a busy day of recording on Fridays because of Disney Junior‘s FRiYAY morning schedule this summer on the Disney Channel. There is a new episode that premieres each Friday and we look forward to catching all of our favorite shows that way.

One of our favorite shows to watch together is Elena of Avalor. My daughter loves that the show is full of adventure and she loves Elena’s dresses, while I love that the show teaches great values. I really like that Elena had the opportunity to rule the kingdom on her own, but she chooses to have a council to help her. It teaches that no matter how big of responsibilities you might have, you can always surround yourself with good friends to help support you along the way!

Awesome Outdoor Games

Kids can’t wait for summer to be here, but once it comes the only thing that seems to come out of their mouth is how bored they are! This can be so frustrating for moms! Even with friends over, kids can have a difficult time coming up with activities to do. Here are five awesome outdoor games that my husband used to play with his students when he taught 6th grade. He used these games in his P.E. class and his students loved them! These games would be great activities at a family reunion too!

Puffy Paint Snowman Kid Craft

Sometimes I question why I live in Idaho. That usually happens during the winter when I freeze 90% of the day. Now that my daughter is old enough to understand the fun that can come with snow, she wants to go outside all of the time! The problem is that I don’t always want to get all bundled up and freezing! Instead of feeling like a failure as a parent, I like to come up with fun activities that we can do in the house so we an stay nice and cozy. This puffy paint snowman kid craft has been a major lifesaver! She loves playing with the puffy paint and she feels like she is still building a snowman. Of course she named her girl snowman “Olaf” too. So, what do you say? Do you want to paint an Olaf? Do you want to build a snowman?

Frozen Elsa Inspired Christmas Ornament and Tree

If you have kids, they probably love Frozen. That is definitely the case at my house. I have a full blown, Elsa loving princess who seems to react to any Frozen memorabilia like it is the last Frozen item in the planet. She treasures them. She is obsessed! That’s why I knew I needed to make her holiday dreams come true and make her a Frozen Elsa Christmas Tree for her room!

I am not one who is about to plaster character’s faces all over my house, so I decided to go with more of an “inspired by” theme instead of so literal. I LOOOOVE how this tree turned out! I think it is absolutely stunning! Photos seriously don’t do it justice. It just sparkles! This tree was really easy to whip up and I just know your little Frozen lover will love one too!

Colors and Numbers Toddler Game on www.girllovesglam.com

It is really inspiring to watch my daughter’s interest in learning grow each and everyday. I am constantly blown away with what information she retains and how much she knows as a two year old. It is really fun to help her learn new things, but sometimes I get caught in a funk and have a hard time coming up with new activities that she can do that would be educational too. Often times, I will look online for new activities, but most of them down’t keep her attention for too long. Thankfully I discovered [Read more…]
