No, you shouldn’t go chasin’ waterfalls, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t put one in your hair! Waterfall braids are so incredibly beautiful on all types of hair, but my favorite is definitely on curly hair. I get asked A LOT about my daughter’s hair when I do it with a waterfall braid, so I decided to make a video with step by step instructions on how to recreate a waterfall braid for curly hair!

This tutorial and hairstyle will totally work for straight hair too, you probably will just want to do the braid when the hair is dry. If the hair is straight, but it tends to fall out of braids easily, try braiding it while it is wet and see if that helps! [Read more…]

Braided Flower Little Girl Hairstyle Video

Weekly videos are back for 2017 and boy do I have some fun content in store for you! I had a lot of requests for more hairstyle videos, especially videos with hairstyles for little girls. I listened and am sharing the first of many little girl hairstyles that will be coming your way this year! The first little girl hairstyle I am sharing is actually a really fun one because it is mature enough looking that girls (or women) of any age could really wear this hairstyle as well! The hairstyle is a gorgeous braided flower little girl hairstyle!

This hairstyle is a favorite at our house because it makes my daughter feel fancy on her days when she decides she wants to be extra fancy (because that seems to be nearly everyday!) and this hairstyle is easy enough to do on a wiggling preschooler. [Read more…]

Festive Party Hairstyles

This is a product-provided, sponsored conversation that contains affiliate links. I received the Infiniti PRO by Conair  Spin Air Brush and the Infiniti PRO by Conair® Diamond Brilliance™ Diamond-Infused Ceramic Smoothing Hot Brush for my own personal use.  All opinions, text and experiences are my own.

I love holiday parties of any kind, but I think the reason why I love them so much is that it gives me an excuse to dress up a little bit. I don’t go to any fancy parties, but I like spending a little extra time on my look when I am going to a party because it makes me feel festive and excited for the party! I created two simple hairstyles that would be great for any festive party you plan to attend, or really just any day you want to try a fun hairstyle!

Both of these looks are really easy to create! I love that one has a more voluminous, messy look and the other one is quite straight and sleek so that you can choose the one that best fits your personal style. [Read more…]

Get Your Hair Through the Dry Months

This content was sponsored by Aussie but all thoughts and opinions are my own. I hope you enjoy following along! #ad

My hair really suffers this time of year. Once the summer is gone and autumn comes, my hair seems to take a nice break and can be pretty healthy. Once autumn starts going away and the cold, dry winter sets in it is another story. My hair gets incredibly dry and brittle during the winter. I love finding products that can help get my hair through these cold, winter months. Recently, I had the opportunity to try out a variety of Aussie Hair products and I was really impressed by them!

Get Two Looks for Your Locks with Conair

I love how many great, innovative tools there are available for hair styling. I vividly remember the first time a stylist used a flat iron on my hair. I was in 8th grade and it completely changed my life because I realized just how smooth my hair could be! Traditional flat irons and curling irons are now being replaced with newer tools. I love trying out some of these tools to see what the result is like on my hair.

Recently, I tried out the new InfinitiPRO by Conair® Diamond Brilliance™ Diamond-Infused Ceramic Smoothing Hot Brush and the InfinitiPRO by Conair® Curl Secret® to see how they worked on my hair.

I let my hair air dry to its natural curly wave so I could really put these tools to the test! [Read more…]

Healthy, Happy Hair Products

This post was sponsored by Garnier through their partnership with POPSUGAR. While I was compensated by POPSUGAR to write a post about Garnier all opinions are my own.

My hair has been through a lot this summer. I have spent a lot of time outside, in the pool, or just had lazy summer days where I put my hair in a messy bun. I have kind of ignored the needs of my hair and I can definitely feel that it needs some extra attention. That is why I decided to give my hair a spa day, everyday!

Spa Day Everyday with Garnier Whole Blends on www.girllovesglam.com

I recently tried the Garnier Whole Blends products made with Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter Extracts. The divine smell is the first thing I noticed when using these products. In my mind, you can’t go wrong with coconut oil. It smelled like a miniature island vacation in my shower as I used the shampoo and conditioner. [Read more…]

Swimming Hairstyles and Tips

I feel like we have lived at the pool this summer. Between swimming lessons and pool days, we have definitely done our time at the pool! Summertime can be really hard on our hair, especially when a lot of that time is revolved around swimming. It is no secret that chlorine is hard on skin and hair, but that doesn’t mean that swimming needs to be completely avoided this summer! With the right hairstyles and products, you and your kids can enjoy the pool all summer long.

How to take care of little girl curly hair VIDEO

This post contains affiliate links, but is in no other way sponsored.

Little girl curly hair can be a major source of frustration for parents who haven’t had much experience with curly hair. We filmed a video full of little girl curly hair tips a while back but since Harper’s hair has changed a lot in terms of texture since then, we decided it was time for a sequel to or original video!

Little Girl Curly Hair Tips on www.girllovesglam.com

The reason we decided it was time for a new video was because the first time, Harper’s hair was much more fine and we weren’t really needing to use many hair products in it. Her hair is out of the baby/toddler phase and is definitely little girl hair now. [Read more…]

Sally Hair Dare: Dry and Damaged Hair

Tracking Pixel

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sally Beauty.

I took the dare, the Sally (Hair) Dare, that is! The Sally (Hair) Dare is daring to try products from Sally Beauty, many of which are under $10, to fix your hair issues. They even have a money-back policy! My hair is naturally curly/wavy and I am constantly putting it through a lot in order to fight against my natural texture. Because I put a lot of heat on my hair and I color it often, I have a lot of damaged hair on my head.
