I have been so excited about Zoey’s nursery design. I have been planning it for months and I finally was able to finish it so I can share it with all of you! When I found out I was having another little girl, I saw a color design chart with pink, blush, mustard, and charcoal gray. I INSTANTLY fell in love with the color combination and knew I wanted to use those colors in my baby’s nursery.
If you don’t use a scrub while you are in the bath or the shower, you are seriously missing out. I am obsessed with scrubs! I use a scrub every single day and I love how soft and smooth it makes my skin feel. I have also loved creating my own scrubs and finding scents that I love together. This vanilla rose scent has quickly become a favorite of mine!
I was three years old when Beauty and the Beast was released when I was 3 years old. As any three year old would be, I quickly became obsessed with the movie. I even sang a song from the movie in a talent show with my best friend in kindergarten! My lifelong love of Beauty and the Beast is why I am so excited for the upcoming release of the new Beauty and the Beast movie! That is why I decided to share this vanilla rose salt scrub with all of you that is inspired by Beauty and the Beast!
To make your own salt scrub, you need…
We all have stress in our lives! It is an unfortunate part of life, but it is something that we all deal with. One thing that helps me when I am starting to feel overwhelmed is taking a nice, hot bath. I have been adding a few different essential oils to my bath. I have found that when I mix lavender and grapefruit essential oil together, it creates just the right stress relieving bath for me. I decided to make stress relieving bath salts that are infused with lavender and grapefruit so that I can have them on hand when I am in need of a stress relieving bath!
If you have never made bath salts before, don’t let them intimidate you at all! They are incredibly easy to make! Here’s what you will need… [Read more…]
I am excited to introduce this month’s bath bomb to you all! I know that we are all pretty ready for Spring to come, but this month’s bath bomb recipe is inspired by the beauty of winter. Although it is cold, it really is such a beautiful time of the year when the white snow is covering every surface outside. I made these fun coconut peppermint “snowball” bath bombs for February. Obviously you don’t have to put the snowflakes in them if you don’t want a winter themed bath bomb because coconut and peppermint together are completely dreamy and should be enjoyed all year long!
These bath bombs are little bits of heaven in the tub! Here is what you need to make them… [Read more…]
I am SO excited to announce something pretty huge coming this year! After receiving several requests to share bath bomb recipes, I will be sharing a new bath bomb recipe once a month! Each month in 2017, I will bring a new bath bomb recipe that is themed for the month. I have some really fun bath bomb recipes and ideas in the works for you! To kick it all off, I have the perfect bath bomb recipe for cold and flu season! This bath bomb helps clear out sinuses and relieves achy muscles at the same time. They can be used like traditional bath bombs or they can be put in the shower to steam up and clear out your sinuses if taking baths isn’t your thing.
Getting gifts for your kids to give to their friends for Christmas can get SO expensive! My daughter really wanted to give her friends something for Christmas, but when you are four years old the concept of money isn’t quite there. We finally agreed on giving her friends some handmade ornaments. I was trying to come up with a cute ornament that could be personal, but easy and cost effective as well and I remembered Shrinky Dinks! I used to make different creations with Shrinky Dinks as a kid and I knew they would be perfect to make ornaments with too! The best part is that each ornament ended up costing about 50 cents each to make!
To make these, I used the print and cut option on my Silhouette Cameo machine. This made making these incredibly easy because I printed them out and just had the Silhouette cut them out for me and they looked great! Of course, if you don’t have a Silhouette Cameo, you could print off your own design on the Shrinky Dinks and cut them out yourself, just know it will take you much longer and they won’t look as crisp. But it can be done! [Read more…]
We are in full blown nesting mode at our house, trying to get ready for baby number two. Part of our plan to make room for baby was to move the queen sized bed in the guest bedroom into Harper’s room so that the guest bedroom could become baby’s room. The guests will still get to sleep in the queen bed when they come to visit and Harper will sleep on the air mattress. It took a little convincing but she finally got excited about getting a big bed. Part of getting her excited was telling her that we could give her room a little makeover at the same time. We pretty much just decorated her room since we have only been in this house for a year, but there were a few other things we could do to make her feel like this was a special experience for her and she wasn’t just getting kicked out of her little bed. One of the things that we decided to do was refinish her dresser. I LOVE how it turned out!
I have become increasingly obsessed with all of the products featuring vintage cars and trucks carrying Christmas trees. It is such a classic holiday symbol and I love all of the decor that I have seen inspired by them. Last year, I picked up a cute cookie jar shaped like a truck with a Christmas tree on top and I bought another little ceramic truck this year. I knew I wanted a new Christmas pillow this year and putting this classic truck was going to be the perfect addition to the pillow! Making this Christmas truck pillow was incredibly easy, so follow along and you can make your own too!
To make your own, you need… [Read more…]
