Monster Bath Bomb for Kids

Kids love bath bombs just as much as adults do! There just aren’t that many “fun” DIY bath bomb options out there for kids. So to get in the Halloween spirit, I made these darling monster bath bombs! They would be really fun to give out at a Halloween party, but they are also something that you could make any time of the year.

Yarn and Eyeball Halloween Pumpkins

I love creating my own Halloween decor! I am not a fan of scary Halloween decor and I’m not really a fan of overly cutsey Halloween decor either. It puts me in kind of a weird spot that is hard to find stuff that I really love. Luckily, I love Halloween crafting! I whipped up these yarn and eyeball pumpkins last week and I LOVE them something fierce. They took me no time at all and I just am a little obsessed with how they turned out!

Curls Gone Wild Shirt Design Download

Having daughters that are 5 years apart makes it a little tricky when I want them to wear matching outfits. I have been lucky to find some really cute matching outfits, but sometimes my options are little to non existent. Thankfully, it is really easy to make matching shirts with iron on vinyl! That is exactly what I did when I made these adorable “Curls Gone Wild” shirts for my two curly haired little munchkins.

As soon as it was announced that there would be a new show on Disney Junior, we were excited. We set our TV to record and we watched Puppy Dog Pals right when it was released. We were instantly hooked and have watched every episode since! I have been trying to do fun activities this summer and thought it would be perfect to make fun paper bag puppets, inspired by our new favorite show! These Puppy Dog Pals puppets have been so fun to play with together and I even plan on bringing them for a long road trip we have coming up.

Minnie Mouse Slime Recipe

We have officially caught the slime bug! We love making slime at our house and I love coming up with new recipes and new themes for each batch of slime that we make. I recently started playing around with a slime recipe that includes lotion in it that ends up making the slime so soft and smooth! I knew I needed to use that recipe when I created this fun Minnie Mouse Slime!

This slime is fun to play with just as regular slime, but it is also fun to try and treasure hunt to find the different designs that are hiding in the slime. It is a great sensory activity to play that also helps work on fine motor skills as kids use their fingers to search for the little pieces. Obviously, this isn’t a toy for kids that are too small because the beads in the slime would be considered a choking hazard. For my Minnie Mouse loving 5 year old, this slime was perfect! We are big Disney Junior fans at our house. I think I enjoy watching the shows on there as much as my 5 year old does! That is why we are so honored to have Disney Junior sponsoring this post. We have our favorite shows set to record on our TV so that we can watch them together. Our TV has a busy day of recording on Fridays because of Disney Junior‘s FRiYAY morning schedule this summer on the Disney Channel. There is a new episode that premieres each Friday and we look forward to catching all of our favorite shows that way.

One of our favorite shows to watch together is Elena of Avalor. My daughter loves that the show is full of adventure and she loves Elena’s dresses, while I love that the show teaches great values. I really like that Elena had the opportunity to rule the kingdom on her own, but she chooses to have a council to help her. It teaches that no matter how big of responsibilities you might have, you can always surround yourself with good friends to help support you along the way!

Cars 3 Coloring Pages, Activities, and Recipes

When we were preparing to go to Disneyland two years ago, I realized that my daughter had never seen the Cars movie. Knowing that we would be spending time in Cars Land, I wanted to prepare her so that she would know what she was seeing at Cars Land. I had her watch the Cars movie and she fell in love instantly! She immediately wanted to watch Cars 2 and has been watching those two movies on repeat for the past 2 years. We were more than just a little excited when we learned about Cars 3!

A few weeks ago, I surprised my daughter by taking her to the Cars 3 Road to the Races Tour. I surprised her by giving her one of the brand new Cars 3 LEGO Junior sets. I gave it to her and told her that she needed them to play with on our road trip to this fun event. I am SO sad because I took the cutest pictures of her when I gave her the LEGO goodies and told her, but the pictures were lost somehow. Just imagine pretty much the most animated 5 year old hearing just about the best news she has ever heard, then times that by about 10! She was SO excited!  [Read more…]

Handwritten Water Bottle Teacher Gift Idea

My husband used to be an elementary school teacher. It was always interesting to see what kinds of gifts his students would bring him. A lot of times, he would end up with loads of candy. Candy is nice, but there is only so much candy one person can take before it gets a little old! When it was time to come up with a gift to give my daughter’s preschool and dance teachers, I knew I wanted to give them something practical and personal. That’s when we came up with this darling handwritten water bottle teacher gift idea!

Handwritten Water Bottle Teacher Gift Idea

These water bottles turned out just so sweet with this little 5 year old handwriting and artwork. I know that they will be treasures for her teachers and will be sweet reminders of my daughter each time they use them. I think the best part was just how simple they were to make! Here is what you need to make your own… [Read more…]
